This is a stunning 1930s silk floral dress in magnificent condition. The dress is ankle-length, with a natural waistline and elbow-length sleeves. The neckline in the front of the dress drops to a very tiny v-neck and in the back of the dress is a high neckline which, does up with three tiny snaps. The third snap attaches to a bow made out of the silk floral fabric which also does up with a hook and eye clasp to keep it flat. The sleeves are puffed with princess pleating at the shoulders, cinching at the elbow. The skirt portion is cut on the bias from the hips giving it graceful movement when worn. There are many pleats at the waist line in the back of the dress and at the sides giving it a billowy feel. The front of the dress is cut on the bias for the bust and lies flat at the waist. There are six snaps at the side of the dress. The flowers are sand coloured with red centres and green leaves around. The background is black. There are belt loops at the natural waist but the original belt is no longer with the dress. A simple black ribbon was used to show the effect with a belt if desired.
